Lillian Singing
Lillian's new favorite song..."number 20. I don't know the name of it but it's about a daddy with a long beard."

What do you get...

when you cross a snowy hill with a "cool jump" and a couple of boys having some outside fun while their mom is busy? TWO LESS TEETH!!!!
Yes, the boys went outside to play in the snow...five minutes later they come in and Grant is bleeding. His second front tooth which had yet to become loose was now hanging half on and half off of his gums. So I pulled it out and quickly realized the one next to it (which was also nowhere near ready to be loose) was now so loose you could see the top of it coming out of the gums as he wiggled it. I left that one alone because of the tears and blood. I decided it would not be a good idea for him to go to his soccer game that evening. Something about flying balls made me uneasy! :-) Well this made him more upset of course but what could we do....a couple of hours later he comes running down the stairs. "I almost have the second one out!" Sure enough he did and we went to the bathroom where I finished the job.
"You said I could not play soccer with a loose tooth. So I can go to soccer now!"
NOTHING beats the determination of a 6 year old on a mission.

Torkoal - by Jadon Rienstra
My pet turtle is named Torkoal. Torkoal is my very social pet. He is always at the glass when you look at him. Torkoal is a painted turtle. When his scales fall off I collect them. So far I have twelve but I think I have missed one. I got Torkoal from my friend Cole, who wanted a hampster instead.
Cleaning the tank is not fun. Even thought my Mom does the discusting part I have to carry water from the classroom to the bathroom and back. One of my favorite things about Torkoal is watching him eat. I can't wait until it is a little warmer outside so I can take him out to play in the grass. :-)

A quiet moment!!

I HAD to take a photograph of the boys actually working quietly without constant reminders from me to focus on their work and not fool around. This hardly happens so I am glad I had my camera close. Then I went to check on Lillian and found her looking at one of her newly borrowed library books. A truly treasured moment! ....Five minutes later they were not listening to each other and fighting...oh well. Back on the rollar coaster ride. Buckle your seat belts!!!!
