HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!
David and I are celebrating 13 years of marriage today. How did we celebrate? Well lets see...we each forgot to buy a card for each other. I was up early with the dog, ran out to do my cleaning job then rushed into the shower when I got back because I was expecting two extra children by 7:30AM. David needed to leave early to get his car inspected (due today) but was the only one to remember a "Happy Anniversary" as he headed out. Sadly we have no plans for tonight either...are we pathetic or what?? Okay at least we should order dinner right? My friend has been raving about some lobster ravioli she had last week...hmmm, sounds good to me!!!

Baseball boys
We are in the middle of another busy baseball season. Both Grant and Jadon are playing and loving every minute of it. Grant is doing coach pitch this year. He has a bunch of good friends on his team that were also on his basketball and soccer teams. Always fun to see them.

Grant uses all that energy he has and just goes out there and has a great time. His t-shirt comes down to his knees but he doesn't care. He LOVES to be up at bat. He waits as patiently as he can and then gets up there and with a very serious face gets ready to swing!:-)

He, as we all know and love, is a friendly little man. His team was up against his friends Alex's team on Saturday. As Alex was waiting on second base Grant decided to chat with him a bit. I should have got it on video...even though you could not hear a word...you should have seen the arms move. To funny!!

Jadon is with the same team in kid pitch this year. It is great to see how the returning kids have grown and improved their skills! Jadon struggled last year to get on base when up to bat and usually ended up in outfield looking board.

This year is a different story. He is either the third baseman or in outfield which he seems to like.

When he was in left field he caught a pop fly, getting a batter out. He is a solid base hitter and just last night hit his VERY FIRST HOME RUN earning him his second game ball for the season and great big hugs from his friends and family!!

New addition to the family!!
So, lately I have been thinking...okay rather obsessively...that it was time to get a dog. We had been missing our cat Mia for sometime and as the kids are getting older, I thought a dog would make a nice addition. Last summer some friends of ours got a dog I had never heard of before. It was a cockapoo. A cross between a cocker spaniel and a poodle. Well, that was it! I was in love! The past few months I had been looking online at different cockapoos and found myself checking more and more often. I called up my friend Julie on Wednesday for some advice on taking the step into pet ownership. She also understands my occational obsessive behavior :) She recommended checking out Craigs list for used crates and things that people give away all the time. I went on to research that and low and behold found an ad for a cockapoo in Pembroke! I was SO excited I emailed right away! Yesturday we (the kids and I) went to meet Clara and Motley. We loved them both but Clara stole our hearts and we literally went home with her.

I decided I could not leave her there! She is 1.5 years old and already house/crate trained. She is up to date on her shots and is such a wonderful laid back dog! We had her groomed yesturday and her hair trimmed. She has these huge eyes that we didn't notice until her bangs were cut!

She seems to enjoy following me EVERYWHERE! As I type this she is laying by my feet!:) The kids are adoring her and wishing she would chase balls more but keep saying to me..."Mom I think Clara is the best choice"

We are very happy to have her in our lives!

Its been a while!!

Oh how the time flies! I can't believe I haven't posted since Easter! Oh my.
Well we are crazy busy into baseball season. Both Jadon and Grant are having games and practices each week. (I will post pictures soon.) Jadon is on the same team as last year and it is fun to see how much his baseball skills have grown in the past year. He is now a solid base hitter each game. The look on his face when he reaches first base is exciting. He is also learning how to steal to second base and I think he likes that just as much!!

Grant loves baseball. He is much happier now that he is on coach pitch. Watching his big brother makes him want to play like the big boys do:) He loves to bat and when he gets on first base he looks over to the crowd of family and friends and enjoys the clapping and congratulations so much that he stops to smile.
Lillian is such a good sport going to all the games and practices no matter what the weather. If it is a late game she and Mama stay home and relax but other than that she is right there with us. She has made a couple of friends and she looks forward to playing with them when they are at the practices/games.

I noticed that the picture on our blog still shows snow! So I changed it to reflect the fact that yes, the snow is finally gone and spring has arrived. Here are some of the color in our front lawn. Soon the lilac buds will bloom...I can't wait!
